Sir William Burrell, Purchase Book 1941, p.33: ‘Fine old Chinese porcelain plate decorated in brilliant famille verte enamels with a lady seated at a table on a terrace overlooking a garden, and a maid approaching with a wine ewer; palm trees and clouds in the background. A border of honeycomb design with six floral panels inset. Famille noire head dresses. Mark of Sacred Fungus in underglaze blue on the base. 13 1/2 inches diameter. Kanghsi’.
