W.T. Dickinson & Son, (Frank), dealers, of 108 Wigmore Street (in 1887), later of 104 New Bond Street, London W1. Dickinsons were buying at the Bushell sales at Christie’s in 1886. The firm were advisors to Lord Kitchener, George Salting (collection in V&A), Sir William Bennett, the Cumberbatch collection (dispersed 1918) and Leonard Gow (sold 1943). The family firm seems to have been trading until around 1921. The business was taken over by H.R. Hancock, a former employee.
