Sir William Burrell, Purchase Book 1945, p.21: ' A bronze wine vessel with swing handle (yu) with bulbous plain body and ribbed conical feet, below the handle a band of archaic fret and masks in high relief dividing a pair of archaic long tailed birds, the swing handle terminating in two Sarmatian like deer heads, is chiselled in relief with an attractive stylistic design.
